According to data compiled by the SteelRadar team from official sources, Türkiye's crude steel production has exhibited various trends over the past decade. During this period, production levels were significantly influenced by economic growth, domestic and foreign demand dynamics, and changes in raw material costs.
The data indicates that Türkiye reached its highest level of crude steel production in 2021, with a record output of 40.4 million tons. The lowest production was recorded in 2015, totaling 31.5 million tons.
Following 2021, the highest production was observed in 2017, at 37.5 million tons. This was followed by 2018 with 37.3 million tons, 2024 with 36.9 million tons, 2012 with 35.9 million tons, and 2020 with 35.8 million tons. While production figures in other years hovered around 35 million tons, 2015 stands out as the year with the lowest production.
